When many people think of relaxing in the sun near the pool with a
refreshing drink in hand, it’s often a Caribbean vacation that first
comes to mind. However, if you’re no stranger to Caribbean travel or
aren’t particularly fond of staying in one location for your entire trip
then exploring a Caribbean cruise makes perfect sense.

The difference between a cruise and a Caribbean hotel is that you get
to actually see the Caribbean on a cruise, rather than just one
particular country, region or resort. On top of that, most cruise ships
have amazing dining facilities, gourmet chefs on staff and spectacular
nightly entertainment.
Caribbean Cruise Costs
For the most part, Caribbean cruises are priced competitively with
Caribbean resorts. There are usually four different prices for any one
cruise based on where your accommodations are located on the ship. Costs
are lowest for interior rooms followed by ocean view, balcony rooms and
the most expensive are suites.
Prices will vary from one cruise line to another, but in general a
suite may cost more than three times as much as the interior room. A
suite is comparable to staying in Caribbean villas, including added
privacy, more space, increased service and luxuries such as beverages
and snacks. Keep in mind that the price advertised doesn’t include shore
excursions, gratuities or alcoholic beverages. Government fees are also
not included and can cost as much as $300 per person depending on the
total time of your cruise.
